Important Council meeting on Wednesday

On Wednesday the NEFMC will be having an important discussion regarding Herring Amendment 5. The meeting will begin at 10:30 and will be at the Sheraton Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth, NH.

While the Committee and Council have been dealing with many different aspects of the amendment over the last 4 or 5 months, there are still outstanding issues. This meeting on Wednesday is an important step in the process because the Council may decide to make some important decisions that could impact the amendment moving forward. If you are free that day, we would urge you to come to the meeting.

Council staff have put together a document that they are hoping will be used at this meeting, I will put the link below incase you want to see the issues that may come up.
