Upcoming OSC meetings, CHOIR Comment

CHOIR Update

A quick reminder that there are a couple important meetings coming at the end of the month. As you know, the Committee spent most of 2009 working on Amendment 5 but then in October it took some time off to work on Amendment 4, which just finished up recently. On the 30th and the 31st of this month, the NEFMC Herring Committee will return to working on Amendment 5. They will be spending the bulk of these two days on the further development of the catch monitoring alternatives for the amendment. These will be important meetings since they plan on doing a lot of work on the alternatives and so it would be great if some of you could make it to the meetings. Discussion documents are posted on the NEFMC’s site and more will be added as the meeting approaches. ( NEFMC site )

The meeting is being held in Portland, Maine at the Eastland Park Hotel (address below). The meeting will begin at 9:30 am on Tuesday, and 9:00 am on Wednesday.
